The Heat Wave Performance XL Vise features an enlarged frame with 10mm added in width and 5mm in ride height for enhanced comfort and coverage. The Heat Wave Performance XL Vise is a significant upgrade, now ANSI Z87+ out of the box, with new performance arms, an integrated Quick-Latch side-shield system, rubberized touch points, and a lens-matched side shield for a sleek look. It includes 2mm-thick lenses that meet ANSI Z87.1+ impact standards, extended-length arms for the standard frame range with beveled emblems, and rubberized Hytrel® inserts for improved fit and grip, especially on the nose bridge.
The XL VISE is XTRA-LARGE and in charge. This is our best-selling XL frame and is a genuine XL. The VISE XL is also an excellent frame for those with an average to large head who want a bold, roomy XL look.
New Quick-Latch Side Shields
A patented Quick-Latch side-shield system offers lateral protection from debris and light, meeting ANSI Z87+ standards. Easily removable with an integrated lever, the side shields are user-friendly. They have a translucent base with a lens-matched coating, providing peripheral protection.
